ShareTaking a really great photo of someone can be highly rewarding. There are also lots of nuances that can result in the shot being less satisfying.
In this class we will be looking at some of the techniques for improving photos of people including:
Balance expression, light and context
- Choice of lens
- Camera orientation
- Lighting basics – natural and flash
- Tips for getting good informal shots
- Simple posing of individuals and groups
- Using props
- Background: include or exclude
- How Depth of Field impacts the image
We will be working with each other unless we decide to hire a model for the evening. An additional $15/person will be added depending on class size.
